Invest a little time in understanding your benefits
Life at GXO can be pretty busy, but if you can invest a little time in learning about your benefits or testing what you think you know, we think you’ll find it’s time well spent.
- Watch the short videos we put together for you.
- Think about your benefit needs for next year.
- Think about your family’s benefit needs.
- Challenge your assumptions about why you choose your current benefit options.
- Are you taking advantage of tax-saving opportunities?
- Check out other tools and resources, like Ask Emma on myGXO Portal > Your Benefits.
Confirm coverage for your dependents
Go to myGXO Portal > Your Benefits or speak with a GXO Benefit Center representative to review your dependents’ coverage and update personal information. Remember, if you are adding a dependent, you will be asked to verify dependent eligibility with documentation (such as a marriage certificate or birth certificate) and provide the dependent’s Social Security Number. You will have 60 days to provide documentation.
GXO conducts random audits of covered dependents of employees if not previously verified as eligible. Employees with dependents not previously verified will be asked to provide proof of their dependents’ eligibility within 60 days of the request. It is very important that you ensure the dependents you are covering are eligible and remove coverage for any ineligible dependents during Open Enrollment.
Any dependent who is found to be ineligible for coverage as a result of a random dependent verification audit will have coverage canceled.
Confirm your beneficiary information
Enrollment is a good time to review your beneficiary designations and update them, if necessary. You can do this while enrolling online at myGXO Portal > Your Benefits or by calling the GXO Benefit Center.
Confirm your tobacco user status
Each year during Open Enrollment, we ask you to verify your tobacco user status. If you or your covered spouse uses tobacco, you pay an extra $100 per month for medical coverage. If you are or your covered spouse is a former tobacco user (meaning you completed a tobacco cessation program in the past and had the surcharge removed), your status will roll over year to year automatically.

What happens if I don't enroll?
In general, your elections will carry over into next year, with the exception of Flexible Spending Account (FSA) and Commuter Spending Account (CSA) elections. You will not be enrolled in the Health Care FSA, Dependent Day Care FSA or CSA unless you make an election. You will not be able to change your elections until the next Open Enrollment period, unless you experience a Qualifying Event and report the change within 30 days.
Changes during the year
You can only make changes to certain pre-tax benefits during the year if you experience a Qualifying Event as defined in the Benefits Plan Summary Plan Description (SPD).
If you experience a Qualifying Event during the year, you can make changes appropriate for the type of life event within 30 days of the event date. Visit myGXO Portal > Your Benefits or call the GXO Benefit Center.
See Changing Your Benefits for more information.
