Short-Term Disability Insurance

As a GXO employee, you receive Short-Term Disability Insurance at no cost to you through MetLife. You have the option to buy additional Short-Term Disability Insurance to provide financial protection in the event you are not able to work due to an extended illness or injury.

Long-Term Disability Insurance

As a GXO employee, you receive Long-Term Disability Insurance at no cost to you through MetLife. You have the option to buy additional Long-Term Disability Insurance to provide financial protection in the event you are not able to work due to an extended illness or injury. If you previously waived coverage, you will be required to submit Evidence of Insurability if you enroll in the future.

Short-Term and Long-Term Disability waiting period

Your eligibility for disability benefits depends on your job classification.

If you are an hourly or yearly employee, your company-provided Basic Disability and Basic Life coverage will begin automatically on your disability eligibility date. You’ll have an opportunity to enroll in Supplemental Short-Term Disability (STD), Supplemental Long-Term Disability (LTD) and Supplemental Life coverage within 30 days of your eligibility date.

Cost of coverage
